You can now find library vending machines in Polk County

This is so cool!

Polk County wanted to find a unique way to make books more accessible to students, and they found these cool vending machines to be a great solution!

The machines are located in places like rec centers and city halls, making it was for residents to access them. Not everyone has easy access to the local library, so they are hoping this will bridge the gap.

Using the machines is easy. Simply scan your library card, then select a book by entering the code - just like a snack machine! There will be a receipt with a due date so you know when to drop it in the book return next to the machine.
