There is a term trending online called ‘fauxductivity’ that one in three workers are admitting they are guilty of.
The term is basically EXACTLY what it sounds like, when you make it LOOK like you’re working really hard. There are people who go far enough to use the ‘mouse jiggler’ app, which makes it look like you’re working on a computer.
What may NOT surprise you is that 37% of managers admit to it, compared to 32% of non-managers, so the next time you ask your co-worker “what does our boss even do?”...you may be on to something.
