Myles Smith looks forward to 'genuine and wholesome' tour experience for 2025

After a breakout 2024 which included non-stop touring, awards, a worldwide hit with "Stargazing" and a place on Barack Obama's list of favorite songs of the year, Myles Smith is launching his 2025 We Were Never Strangers world tour Wednesday with a sold-out show in Brooklyn, New York. He tells ABC Audio what fans that he meets on the road share about how his music has affected him.

"I think it's just they find their own stories within the music that I write," he says. "And it's a big part of why I do music. 'Cause music gave me, I guess, a platform to be able to understand my own emotions. So being able to reciprocate that now for people who listen to my music is just such a genuine and wholesome experience."

And he says he learned one important lesson from criss-crossing the world in 2024 that he'll be able to apply to his new tour.

"Get sleep when you can get sleep," he laughs. "I think that I did not take full advantage of that. And I will be sleeping as much as I can!"

As previously reported, Myles has rescheduled his concerts at LA's Wiltern Theater for April, due to the deadly wildfires. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to wildfire relief.

Meanwhile, the nominations for the BRIT Awards -- the British version of the Grammys -- will be out on Thursday, and Myles, who hails from Luton, England, is expected to hear his name announced.
