Mentors can get you along way in life. That plus a great talent can take you all the way to the top. Katy Perry gives credit to Madonna for launching her career. KP’s first song was one you might not know, but Madonna sure did. At the time Madonna said “Ur So Gay” by Katy Perry was her favorite song, and that’s when Katy Perry became a star. Soon to follow was her first number one song “I Kissed A Girl” (and I assume Madonna liked it).

Since then Katy has reached out to other young female pop stars to be a support to the next generation, singers like Chappell Roan. All the more reason we saw a very caring and warm judge all those years on ‘American Idol’.
