4 years ago we were sitting in the hospital waiting. It was quiet. COVID rules said no one could have visitors. So it was just us and we waited. Finally the moment came, Ben joined our family and got his first glimpse of the world. The doctor told me to cut the cord, even though I know it wouldn’t hurt I was nervous. Then I realized what my wife just went through and I decided I better suck it up.
As the doctor handed him to us for the first time, we were happy, excited and over the top with joy about our new baby. Then he peed on my wife. They hadn’t put on a diaper yet. That was funny. They cleaned her up and as they were taking him over for a quick exam and clean up, he peed on the nurse. His first 120 seconds in this world was pretty wild.
